FCCLA Members Conduct Seat Belt Survey
Members of the Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter conducted a Seat Belt Use survey on September 14 in the Howells-Dodge Consolidated High School parking lot before school. The survey found that 71% of drivers were wearing their seat belts and 29% were not. 81.8% of passengers were wearing their seat belt and 18.2% were not. Students and staff were given Rice Krispie Treats with the message "Don't snap, crackle, and pop your bones in an accident...wear your seat belt", along with pencils and car air fresheners courtesy of Teens in the Driver Seat. The Howells-Dodge FCCLA chapter would like to remind everyone to buckle up each time you ride or drive. This project was done as a part of the chapter's Family and Community Traffic Safety project in conjunction with the Teens in the Driver Seat program.
