FCCLA Christmas Party Held December 2
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter met on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Howells-Dodge Consolidated for their December meeting and Christmas Party. The opening ceremony was recited by the officers and members. The meeting was called to order by Morgan Baumert, President. There were 59 members present. Highlights of the October Meeting were shared by the president. The treasurer's report was given by Faith Molacek.
Members were thanked for their help with the FCCLA Food Sales Fundraiser and Teens in the Driver Seat Survey. The chapter will have the Concession Stand for the Wrestling Tourney on December 6. Applications for the 2015-2016 State Peer Officer Teams are due Dec. 14 and are available at www.nebraskafccla.org FCCLA Scholarships are available for seniors at www.nebraskafccla.org, also. Most are due Feb. 1. Members volunteered for the Christmas letter committee. FCCLA members were reminded that District FCCLA STAR Events will be held in St. Edward on January 21.
The FCCLA Chapter will be hosting a Feed Nebraska Food Drive from December 8 - 19. A competition between the high school classes will be held with the class who brings the most items winning a pizza party in January. Donations can be brought to the FCS Room and the donation totals will be posted in the Commons Area each day of the drive. All donations will go to the local Kommunity Kindness drive.
The meeting was adjourned. A secret member gift exchange was enjoyed by the members. Kelly Cech presented door prizes to Darren Hegemann, Jordon Brichacek, Morgan Baumert, and Hailey Coufal. Lunch was served by the juniors. The next meeting is January 6 at 7:00 p.m.
