HDC Graduates 20 Students on May 9

The Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools Commencement Ceremony was held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Howells-Dodge High School Gym in Howells.  The processional was played by Wayne Molacek as the junior candlebearers, junior leaders and graduates marched in.  Jesse Faltys, class vice president gave the welcome and introduction.  The Salutatorian, Jessica Shonka, presented her speech.  Morgan Baumert, class Valedictorian, then gave her speech.  Scholarship awards were presented by Mr. Robin Groene, Guidance Counselor.  The senior tribute to parents followed  The senior slide show, created by Morgan Baumert and Casey Smith, was shown.  The senior class was introduced by Superintendent Jeff Walburn.  Diplomas were presented to the graduates by Heather Macholan, Board President. Class president Casey Smith led the closing remarks.  

Members of the class of 2015 are:  Morgan Baumert, Abigail Coday, Tami Dostal, Jesse Faltys, Nicholas Haase, Aaron Harter, Nathan Kathol, Megan Kaup, Jonathan Good, Faith Molacek, Hunter Nathan, Seth Novak, Trenton Payton, Jessica Shonka, Casey Smith, Alexander Steffensmeier, Ashley Vanderworker, Paige Verba, Lee Vering, and Jacob Vogel.  National Honor Society members are Morgan Baumert, Abigail Coday, Nathan Kathol, Megan Kaup, Faith Molacek, Jessica Shonka, Casey Smith, Alex Steffensmeier and Jacob Vogel.

Class colors are blue, white and silver.  The class song was "I Go Back" by Kenny Chesney.  The class motto is:  "We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails" - Dolly Parton.  The class flower is the Gerbera Daisy.
