Howells-Dodge Graduation Held May 13

Twenty-four seniors graduated from Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools on Saturday, May 13.  The graduation ceremony began at 5:00 p.m. and was held in the gym in Howells.  The processional, “Pomp and Circumstance” was play by Betty Elbracht as the junior candle bearers and seniors entered the gym.  The seniors were led by juniors Dax VanLengen and Katelyn Steffensmeier.  The welcome was given by Ryan Molacek, Senior Class Vice President.Principal Mark Ernst introduced this year’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian.  The Salutatorian Address was given by Haley Eikmeier, followed by  the Valedictorian Address by Emily Ritzdorf.

Scholarship awards were presented to the seniors by Pam Bazata, Guidance Counselor.  The senior tribute to parents followed.  The senior class video presentation, which was created by Carter Bracht, followed.  Diplomas were presented to the Seniors by Heather Macholan, School Board President.  The closing was given by Carter Bracht, class president.  Following the ceremony, a receiving line was formed so that guests could congratulate the graduates.Assisting as ushers were Miles Kulhanek, Jon Yosten, and Jordan Brichacek.  Gift attendants were Tonya Brester, Jessi Brester, Hannah Bayer and Erin Prusa.

The class colors were black, turquoise and white.  The class flower was a turquoise Gerbera Daisy.  The class song was “You’re Gonna Miss This” by Trace Adkins.  The class motto was  “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory” – Dr. Seuss.  Class sponsors were Jordan Brabec and Marla Prusa.
