Great American Eclipse

In case you've been hibernating the last few months, on Monday, August 21st  the state of Nebraska will fall under the path of a total Solar Eclipse.  Although Northeast Nebraska will not be in the path of totality we will experience about a 97% eclipse.  The school has purchased approved glasses so that all students Grades K-12 and staff can safely view this phenomenon.  Students will be dismissed around the "peak" time, and will return to classes afterwards.

Safety is our main concern.  An Eclipse Viewing Permission Form (salmon colored) will be included in the family packets your child will receive on the first day of school. Please complete, sign, and return the form to the school office if you would like your children to experience this.  Only students who have a signed waiver on file will be allowed to view the eclipse.  Those who do not have a signed waiver or whose parents do not wish for them to participate will remain in the building.  Please note the school will not accept permission by phone in place of the signed waiver so if you want your children to view the eclipse we must have this form.

If you have questions or concerns please contact Mr. Ernst at 402-986-1621.
