Smokey the Bear Visits Howells-Dodge Consolidated
The kindergarten - 6th grade students at Howells-Dodge Consolidated School had some very special visitors on Friday, October 6th, 2017, to kick off Fire Prevention Week. Dave Parr, Paul Kempf, Logan Kampschneider, and Smokey the Bear came to talk to our students about fire prevention and fire safety. They shared some of their experiences with the students and reminded everyone to have a plan in place in case of a fire at home. Logan Kampschneider was dressed in his full fire gear to show students what the firefighters look like when they are fighting fires. The firefighters told the students they should not be afraid of them when they are in uniform. We would like to thank them for joining us to share this valuable fire safety information with us!
