FCCLA meeting held March 12
The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter met for their monthly meeting on Monday, March 12 at noon. President Dax VanLengen called the meeting to order. Old business included thanking members for their help in making FCCLA Week a success. The chapter was congratulated for the awards they received at the State Peer Education Conference in Kearney. State Power of One Award winners Logan Fiala, Cassie Pieper, Jill Grovijohn and Chloe’Pieper were also recognized.
Information followed on FCCLA State Leadership Conference that will be held on April 8 – 10 in Lincoln. Members were encouraged to continue preparing and practicing for State STAR Events. The FCCLA Adopt-A-Grandparent Program will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area at Howells-Dodge Consolidated.
Officer elections for 2018-2019 were held. Elected were: District 5 Officer – Erin Prusa, President Mitch Yosten, Vice President – Jessi Brester, Secretary – Hannah Bayer, Treasurer – Lane Hegemann, Publicity Chairperson – Tonya Brester, Historian – Kyle Pickhinke, Power of One Chairperson – Bridget Praest and Recreation Chairperson – Darrin Pokorny. The officers will be installed at the FFA-FCCLA Banquet on Monday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. Door prizes were presented by Jordon Brichacek. The meeting was adjourned.
