Howells-Dodge FCCLA Meeting Held October 4
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter had a meeting on Thursday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m. President Mitch Yosten called the meeting to order following the opening ceremony. Thanks were given to those members who assisted the 5K Rib Run, Face Painting, Babysitting, Adopt-A-Highway Clean-up and the concession stand. Old business included information about the District 5 FCCLA Leadership Conference on Monday, October 15 at CCC in Columbus. All members will attend and will leave at 8:15 a.m. The poster and creed speaking contests were discussed, along with the Adopt-A-Grandparent Project. Members signed up for District STAR Events. Orders will be taken for the chapter’s Frozen Food Sale Fundraiser until October 22. Delivery will be on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Members volunteered to work for concession stands for the East Husker Conference Volleyball Tourney on Thursday, October 11 and the HD/Pender/ West Point-Beemer Triangular on Tuesday, October 23. The Teens in the Driver Seat project was discussed and plans were made for a seat belt survey on October 11.
The meeting was adjourned. Door prizes were given to Madyson Cech, Cassie Pieper and McKenna Klosen. Snacks, donated by Joan Mastny and Kathy Heard, were enjoyed following the meeting. The chapter’s next meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7:00 p.m.
