Howells-Dodge FFA Excels at District Leadership Development Events
The Howells-Dodge FFA Chapter participated in the 2018 District 2 Leadership Development Events held on December 10th at Lakeview High School. The Howells-Dodge FFA Chapter had an extremely successful day as they won 4 of the 10 events and finished in second in two others. These leadership events showcased FFA member’s public speaking and presentation abilities through a wide range of contests. Fourteen FFA Chapters and over 300 students participated throughout the day. The top two individuals or teams from each event qualify for the Nebraska State FFA Convention, which will be held next April in Lincoln. Those placing in the top 2 and qualifying from the local FFA Chapter include:
Kennady Schmidt- 1st Place in FFA Creed Speaking
Lexi Brester- 1st Place in Junior Public Speaking
Jadyn Burenheide- 1st Place in Cooperative Speaking
Regan Burenheide- 1st Place in Natural Resources Speaking
Conduct of Chapter Meetings (Parliamentary Procedure) Team- 2nd Place
