FCCLA Week Was Celebrated February 11-14
The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter planned a variety of activities for FCCLA Week 2019. The theme for Monday, Feb. 11 was “Be Spirited” Day and members wore their FCCLA T-Shirts and took a group photo. Cookies were baked for Valentine’s Sales. On Tuesday, Feb. 12, FCCLA provided juice and rolls for students and staff before school in the commons area for the “Be Confident” theme. Cookies were frosted and decorated for Valentine’s Sales. Wednesday, Feb. 13 was “Hush Day” for the “Be Prepared” theme. Tonya Brester was the winner of the Hush Day prize. “Be A Friend” was the theme for Thursday, Feb. 14. Boxes of Baker’s Chocolates were delivered as a thank you to businesses in Howells and Dodge. Treats were also provided for school staff. The chapter delivered flowers and cookies for their annual Valentine’s Sales. Throughout the week the chapter sponsored a Pennies for Patients Penny War for grades 7 – 12 to collect money to support Nebraska cancer patients with the winning class being the juniors.
