Howells-Dodge FCCLA Met on March 4

The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter met on Monday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m.  President Mitch Yosten called the meeting to order, following the opening ceremony.  The minutes of the last meeting were read by Hannah Bayer, Secretary.  The Treasurer’s report was given by Lane Hegemann. 

 

Members were congratulated for the awards the chapter received at the State Peer Education Conference.  State FCCLA Leadership Conference will be held on April 7 – 9 in Lincoln and the conference was discussed.  Members were reminded to keep working on their STAR Events for the state contest on April 8.  The Adopt-A-Grandparent Program will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area at the Howells-Dodge Consolidated High School.  The FFA-FCCLA Banquet will be held on Monday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m.

 

Officer elections for 2019-2020 followed.  Elected were:  District 5 Officer – Madyson Cech, President – Kyle Pickhinke, Vice President – Grace Kreikemeier, Secretary – Alex Recker, Treasurer – Luke Rocheford, Publicity Chairperson – Lexie Brester, Historian – Alyssa Coufal, Power of One Chairperson – Harley Williams, Recreation Chairperson – Darrin Pokorny.

 

The meeting was adjourned.  Door prizes were given by Darrin Pokorny to Cassie Pieper, Ashlynn Throener and Kade Hegemann.  Lunch was provided by the freshmen.
