Twenty-six Seniors Graduate on May 11

The Howells-Dodge High School Graduation was held on Saturday, May 11 at 5:00 p.m. at Howells-Dodge Consolidated  Schools in Howells.  The ceremony began with the processional played by Wayne Molacek as the seniors entered the gym.  The welcome was given by Lane Hegemann, class vice-president.  Principal Cole Fischer introduced the class salutatorian Bridget Praest and class valedictorian Erin Prusa.  Their speeches followed.  Scholarship Awards were announced by Mrs. Pam Bazata.  The seniors gave their parents a flower during the senior tribute.  The senior slide show, created by Grace Dvorak, followed.  Superintendent Mark Ernst introduced the seniors and diplomas were presented to the students by Heather Macholan, School Board President.  Class president Erin Prusa led the class in the traditional turning of the tassel.  A receiving line was formed so that family, friends, teachers and staff could congratulate the graduates.

 

Members of the class of 2019 are:  Micheal Balsley, Hannnah Bayer, Jessi Brester, Josh Brester, Tonya Brester, Matt Cada, Seth Cech, Lupe Curiel, Grace Dvorak, Trysten Garcia, Trevor Good, Deisrae Haase, Kade Hegemann, Lane Hegemann, Dylan Horejsi, Carter Jensen, Catherine Kempf, McKenna Klosen, Bradley Kratochvil, Chloe’ Pieper, Bridget Praest, Erin Prusa, Ashley Smith, Cole Stewart, Mitchell Yosten, and Chad Young.

 

The class colors are yellow, silver and black.  “Whenever You Remember” by Carrie Underwood is the class song.  The class flower is the sunflower.  “With every ending is a brand new beginning” was the class motto.  Senior class sponsors are Jordan Brabec and Marla Prusa.
