Howells-Dodge FCCLA Receives Awards From Keep Nebraska Beautiful
The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter was the winner of two awards at the recent Keep Nebraska Beautiful Awards Luncheon in Lincoln. In the Youth Group/School Award category 1st Place went to Howells-Dodge FCCLA, 2nd Place went to the Seward High School FCCLA and an Award of Excellence went to Nebraska City Middle School. In the School Recycling Award Category winners were: First Place – Trinity Lutheran Elementary School; 2nd Place – Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter; Award of Excellence: Ogallala Public Schools and Seward High School.
Other Award Winners were: Civic/Non Profit Group Award: Award of Excellence - GFWC Seward Woman’s Club; Great American Cleanup Award: First Place - City of Seward; Jane Polson Beautification Award: First Place - GFWC Seward Woman’s Club; Business & Industry Award: First Place – Eagle Canyon Hideaway; Keep America Beautiful Affiliate Award: Gold Level Winners – Keep Alliance Beautiful, Keep Beatrice Beautiful, Keep Cass County Beautiful, Keep Chadron Beautiful, Keep Fremont Beautiful, Keep Keith County Beautiful, Keep Lincoln & Lancaster County Beautiful. Bronze Level Winners: Keep Sidney Beautiful. Deanne Anderson Outstanding Community Environmental Award: 1st Place: Division II – City of Seward; Division II – Village of Hoskins, Overall Winner – Village of Hoskins.
