Jaguar Quiz Bowl Wins District Championship
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Jaguar Quiz Bowl team won the district championship at the ESU 7 District Quiz Bowl on Monday, March 15th in Central City. The competition featured 19 teams from the ESU 7 area ranging from Class A to Class D2 schools. The team won 4 matches, advancing past Nebraska Christian, High Plains, Leigh, and Columbus to put themselves into the championship match. They encountered the Columbus team again and dropped that match, but, since it was a double elimination format, they had another chance and were able to beat the Columbus team in the final match. This secured Howells-Dodge as the champions on the day. Both Howells-Dodge and Columbus will advance onto the State Quiz Bowl to be held in Hastings on April 28th.
