FCS Students Created Quilts of Valor
Launch the media gallery 1 playerA Quilt of Valor was presented to Dennis "Curly" Vesely on Thursday, November 3 during the Howells American Legion Meeting. This quilt was made by students in the FCS 4 class at Howells-Dodge Consolidated in the Spring of 2022. Students in the class were: Brooklyn Macholan, Morgan Gall, Abbey Pieper, Lilly Praest, Sophie Dvorak, Nessa Krupka, Carly Bayer, Ashlynn Throener, Shelby Risch,Nevaeh Jurisch, Jakson Paus, Braden Martin, and Natalie Corona and was donated to the Howells American Legion Auxiliary to present to Mr. Vesely to thank him for his military service and service to the Howells American Legion and community.
A second Quilt of Valor was presented to Richard Dostal at the Veteran's Day Program at Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools on Wednesday, November 9. The quilt was pieced by seventh grade students during their first quarter FCS class this Fall. Students who assisted were Brittney Faltys, Evan Hegemann, Oliver Belina, Weston Jacobsen, Liam Carstens, Luke Belina and Gabe Martin.
