FCCLA met on November 7
The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter held their November meeting on Tuesday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. with 31 members present. Following the opening ceremony, President Landon Dobbins called the meeting to order. During old business, members were thanked for their excellent participation at the District Leadership Conference and for the outstanding job of selling for the FCCLA Frozen Food Fundraiser. The District 5 FCCLA STAR Events Contest is Wed., Jan. 24 in Madison. Star event guidelines were given to members. The Youth Health Equity Project and FCCLA Recycling were discussed. Cards will be ready for members to give to the veterans at the Veterans Day Program on November 10.
Items of new business discussed were the Teens in the Driver Seat Zero Crazy Project, cards for adopted grandparents, the Christmas Party, FCCLA Babysitting Serice on Saturday, December 9, and an upcoming Concession Stand on December 12. Members were reminded about FCCLA State Officer Team and State Peer Officer Team application forms and FCCLA scholarships for seniors available at www.nebraskafccla.org. The chapter made plans for a Food Drive in December.
The meeting was adjourned. Door prizes were given by Rylan Nelson to Annemarie Slaughter, Eva Martin and Isable Belina. Snacks were provided by the senior members. The chapter Christmas Party and meeting will be on Sunday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m.
