The Jaguars Are Unstoppable!
On Tuesday, December 16th, the Howells-Dodge Jaguar Boys Basketball team took on the West Point-Beemer Cadets. The Jags won with a final score of 57 to 53. The Jags started off great in the first quarter and held their stamina throughout the game. The Cadets made some great plays, making the game a close game. Coach Janata said, “It was a very gusty performance from the boys' team. We started out hot, but West Point Beemer made some great plays to tie it up at the half. After a back and forth 3rd quarter, the Cadets took a 7 point lead early in the fourth. The boys did a nice job of rallying together and chipping away at the score, stacking defensive stops and finding ways to score on defense. Chase Luther was able to seal the game with a late free throw to put us up by 4, and Ethan Prusa ended the game with a half court steal. We take on Lyons Decatur Northeast Friday at Lyons.”
