Another conference win for the Jags
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Tuesday, February 3rd, the Howells Dodge Jaguars took on the Clarkson Leigh Patriots for the last time in the EHC quarterfinal game. Things started slowly for the Jags, but they managed to pull away with the win, winning 68 to 45.
Dane Meyer led the team in points, scoring 15; Ethan Prusa had 11, and Chase Luther, Nathan Tomcak, and Andre Martin all had ten points. They also boarded up really well, bringing down 34 rebounds.
This was a good night for the Jags. Here are some words from head coach Janata, “After over a week off, it took us a little bit to get going on offense. Clarkson Leigh came out with a ton of energy, and they challenged us on the boards. We settled down in the second half and started hitting our shots. It was a great team effort with 5 Jags scoring in double digits and 10 points off the bench.” The Jags will take on North Bend in Stanton on Friday for the semi-finals.
