First game fight

Last Friday, December 5th, the Howells-Dodge boys varsity basketball team took on the Stanton Mustangs in the season opener. HDC won the game with 73 points, and Stanton had 22.  Nathan Tomcak led the team with 17 total points on the night and 3 threes made. Jaguars clash with the Trojans

On Saturday, December 6th, the Howells-Dodge Jaguars played Wakefield in Dodge. The Jaguars led with dominance and won 79-48. Chase Luther was the leading teammate with the highest points, being 30. Behind him were Ethan Prusa with 12 points, and Nathan Tomcak and Andre Martin tied with 10 points. Hunter Luther scored 8, Dane Meyer with 4, and last but not least, Cooper Kreikemeier with 3. Parents Night Out!

FCCLA will be hosting a babysitting service that is open to all children 10 & under on December 19th from 4 pm until 8 pm in the Howells FCS room. Parents can use this time for last-minute Christmas shopping or a date night! All money that is raised will go towards the Christmas Bags that Emma Ortmeier and Jordyn Hamata will be making for their FCCLA STAR project. There will be a snack provided for each child and educational . . .

Jaguars defeat Wakefield

On Saturday, December 6, the Lady Jags took on the Wakefield Trojans. The Jags won with a score of 73-20. Peyten Becker set the tone from the start, racking up 6 points within the first minute of the game. H-D allowed the Trojans to score 9 points in the first half to allow a comfortable lead into the second half. H-D finished with 58% shooting on the night, also while going 81% from the free-throw line. The Jags nabbed 21 steals . . .

Jaguars take down the Mustangs

On Friday, December 5, the Lady Jags traveled to Stanton to take on the Mustangs. The Jaguars pulled away with the win, with the score being 43-31. The Jags pulled away with the lead when they went on a 20-6 run in 7 and a half minutes. The team had a total of 43 points, with Kylie Brichacek leading with 13. Behind her were Peyten Becker and Kenadie Throener with 10 points each. The field goal percentage for the game was 44%. Kylie . . .

FCCLA Food Drive

The Howells-Dodge FCCLA is asking for food donations. The FCCLA chapter is hosting a class competition between all grades in the high school to see who can collect the most canned or boxed food donations. The winner will receive an ice cream party.
