The Highway 91 Cyclones took on Polk County/Aquinas Catholic in Leigh on Thursday, August 20th, for their season opener. They fought long and hard but lost the fight 12-2. Senior Reann Bruhn pitched 5 innings and struck out 5 people for the Cyclones. Matelyn Rayback pitched 2 innings where she struck out 1 batter and walked 2 batters. In batting, Shaylynn Marty had 1 run, 2 hits, 2 runs batted in, 1 double, and a home run. Bailey Rios had 1 hit and a double, and Reese Bruhn had 1 hit.
