Jaguar Speech Team Qualifies Five to State Championships

The Jaguar Speech Team proudly competed at the District C2-2 Speech Contest held at Hartington-Newcastle on Tuesday, March 2nd. The team was able to push 12 of their entries into the final round of competition. This propelled the team to their runner-up finish. Of those 12 finalists, five events were able to claim top three spots and earn a trip to compete at the State Speech Championships. These five events are:

*Jadyn Burenheide with her persuasive speech on curiosity and with her extemp entry as well.

*Jillian Grovijohn & Cara Dvorak with their duet entitled Me & Emma.

*Regan Burenheide with her entertainment speech about change.

*Lilly Praest with her humorous titled 'The Search for Cindy'.

These five young ladies will compete on Friday, March 19th at Horizon Middle School in Kearney. The remainder of the events have ended their season. Thanks to the hard work of all the members of the team, many team sweepstakes honors have been earned by the team this season, making it one of the most successful seasons to date.
