Jaguars defeat Aquinas

Continuing the winning streak, the Jaguars defeat Aquinas with a final score of 36-14. To start the first quarter, the Jags began with a 33-yard rush by senior Blane Stutzman. Following with a rush of 45 yards and a touchdown was senior Chase Luther. Finishing off the first quarter, junior Oliver Belina scored a touchdown, ending with a 16-point lead for the Jaguars. Rounding off the second quarter, the Jags fought through and gained another whopping 14 points total. During the third quarter, the Jags slid by with another 6 points added to their score. In the end, the Jags fought hard but unfortunately did not score any more points during the night. Cheers from the Jaguar fans exploded when the final scoreboard read a win of 36-14. 

In total, Oliver had 222 yards rushing, followed by sophomore Andrew Brester with 84 yards, and Chase with 45. In total, the team had 391 yards rushing. Oliver also led the team with a whopping number of 16 tackles, followed by senior Isaac Meyer who had 13, senior Briggs Ernst with 9 tackles, senior Cole Bayer with 8, and Chase, Jax Nelson, and Andrew with 5. In total, Oliver had the most touchdowns with 3, Chase with 1, and Andrew Brester with 1 as well. The Howell's Dodge Jaguars have had a successful season so far. Go and cheer the Jags as they play against Humphrey/Lindsay on Friday, September 11th, with kickoff starting at 7.
