The Tigers took down the Cyclones

Shayla Gall

The Cyclones had a tough game against North Bend on Monday, September 22, at their home game in Dodge. In the first inning, the Tigers came in with a bang and scored 5 runs. The Cyclones couldn’t fight back that inning and didn’t score a run. In the second inning, the Tigers scored two more runs, and the Cyclones scored no runs. In the third inning, the Cyclones started to chip away at the runs and scored one run, and didn’t allow the Tigers to score that inning. In the fourth inning, the Tigers scored two more runs, and the Cyclones couldn’t keep the train running and scored zero runs. In the fifth inning, the Cyclones scored one run to hold the Tigers before being run-ruled. In the sixth inning, the Tigers scored three more runs, and the Cyclones couldn’t make a comeback, which led the game to end after six innings.

The Cyclones managed to get four hits. The following players each had one hit: Reann Bruhn, Allie Dirkschneider, Brittney Faltys, and Reese. Reann scored both runs with Allie and Brittney having one RBI each. Reann hit a double during the game, and Brittney had the only stolen base of the night.

Pitching for the Cyclones were Reann and Hannah Cech. Reann started the game and finished with two strikeouts, and gave up a home run. Hannah came in to relieve Reann during the middle of the game and ended with six walks and one strikeout. In the end, they played hard but not hard enough. The Cyclones have a busy game schedule this week, so hopefully they can get back on the winning track.
