FCCLA officers attend FLC

On Monday, September 15, FCCLA officers traveled to Wayne State College to attend the Fall Leadership Conference. They started off the day listening to the FCCLA State Officers talk about this year’s FCCLA theme,  “Flourish With Purpose”. Officers then went to a Breakout Session called “Advocacy: Shaping Tomorrow Today”, where they learned how to advocate for what they believe in. The next session they attended was called “Birthday in a Box”. In this session, officers put together bags of party supplies and cake ingredients to give to those in the community who may need more assistance. For their final breakout session of the day, officers chose to attend the Wayne State College Student Panel. They were able to ask current college students lots of questions, which helped them gain valuable information and knowledge about what they want to do with their futures! At the end of the day, the officers got a tour of the college from their advisor, Miss Rayback, which was fun to learn about everything that happens in each building at the college.
