Jaguars advance to semi-finals

Lawrence-Nelson traveled to Howells on November 7th to compete against the Jaguars during the D-2 Quarterfinals. HDC scored 14 points in the first quarter, keeping Lawrence-Nelson at 0. The second quarter HDC scores 16 points, keeping Lawrence-Nelson at eight points. After halftime, the Jaguars held the Raiders to a 30 an 8 final with the Jaguars advancing to the semi-finals. The Jaguars had a total of 46 plays throughout the whole game and 7 first downs. Lawrence-Nelson had a total of 65 plays and 15 first downs. Hunter Luther and Nathan Tomcak both had 2 sacks in the game. For rushing yards during this game, Hunter leads with 149 yards, Oliver Belina had 82 yards, and Dane Meyer had 8 yards. The Jaguars had a total of 28 team solo tackles against the Raiders, and the top three players of the night for solo tackles were Chase Luther, leading with 6, and Grant Perrin and Andre Martin, who each had 5.
The Jaguars will play St. Mary's @ 7 p.m. on Friday, November 14th, in Howells for the final home game of the season. Mr. Spiers had this to say about the game, “I thought that our kids played very physical and that determined the outcome of the game.”
