Jaguars compete in semi-finals

On November 14th, the Jaguars played St. Mary's with the kickoff being at 7. Hunter Luther was the kicker for HDC. The first quarter was tough, but the Jaguars kept a hold of St. Mary’s with the first quarter ending 24-12. When the second quarter started, HDC scored and made the score 20-24. The Jaguars fought to try and take the lead, but unfortunately, St. Mary’s ended up having a scoring drive, making the score 20-30 with HDC down. With HDC being down by 10, the boys didn't panic because this was something they had come back from before. Unfortunately, in the third quarter, St. Mary’s scored with a 2-point conversion good making the score 38-20. There was still a lot of hope in the crowd that the Jaguars could win this game, but then the 3rd quarter ended, and the boys had one more quarter to take the lead. To start the fourth quarter, St. Mary’s scored the first running drive, which then led to HDC getting a 50-yard touchdown pass by Andre Martin, thrown from Dane Meyer. Then St. Mary’s got the ball back and ended up scoring again on their drive, making the score 52-28. Dane Meyer threw the ball for a total of 98 yards, with Andre having 60 receiving yards. Konnor Bourek had 23 receiving yards, and Oliver Belina had 15 receiving yards. Hunter had a total of 105 rushing yards, Dane had 51 rushing yards, and Oliver had 26 rushing yards for a total of 182 rushing yards. The Jaguars had a very successful season with an ending record of 11-1.
