Jaguar Jaunt
On January 17th, 2026, the speech team hosted the Jaguar Jaunt in Howells. Leigh, Pender, Madison, Howells-Dodge, and Fullerton attend this meet. The seniors on the speech team who participated in the meet were Isabel Belina, Alessa Gall, Noah Coufal, and Cooper Kreikemeier. Isabel competed in Informative and placed 2nd, and in Persuasive, she placed 1st. Alessa competed in Extemporaneous and placed 2nd, Serious and placed 5th, and in POI 1st. Noah competed in Entertainment and got 2nd, and Cooper competed in Humorous and placed 2nd as well. The juniors on the team who participated were McKenzie Sindelar, Maura Cada, Annaleece Beason, Isaiah Coufal, and Allie Dirkschneider. McKenzie and Maura both participated in Persuasive. Mckenzie placed 3rd and Maura 6th. Annaleece participated in Entertainment and placed 3rd, and competed in Serious and placed 1st. Isaiah and Allie participated in Humorous. Isaiah placed 1st, and Allie placed 3rd. The only sophomore who participated in this meet was Shayla Gall; she competed in Extemporaneous and Serious. Shayla placed 3rd in Extemporaneous and 4th in Serious. When Senorita was asked about how the meet went, she said, “The Jaunt ran fairly smoothly. There were a few scheduling issues I would have handled a bit differently to make the day run a bit closer to schedule. The rest of the season is looking like an interesting and exciting journey with a group of enthusiastic members.” Isabel Belina was also asked how she felt about the Jaunt and, in general, for the season, and she stated, “The Jaunt went very well. Our team came and did what they were expected to do. Our season is looking very good this season. We will have tough meets, but I think that we are ready for anything that comes our way. I am excited to see people’s events develop throughout the season.” The next speech meet the Jaguars will take on is at Scotus on Saturday, January 24th.
