Snowmelt track meet

 The Howells Dodge Jaguars traveled to West Point to compete in a track meet. Starting with the boys, Grant Perrin did very well, running an 11.68 seconds in the 100-meter dash finals. In the 200-meter dash preliminaries, Jarret Perrin ran a 26.42 seconds. For the 400, Jarrett made it to the finals and ran it in 1:00.78. For the boys' 3200-meter, Noah Coufal ran an 11:31.94, placing second. Cael Jones also ran it and did it in 14:15.08. Andrew Brester ran the 110-meter hurdles and finished in 19.55 seconds. Cael Jones also ran the 300-meter hurdles, finishing in 54.75 seconds. Jax Nelson jumped 18 feet, and Jimmy Ratzlaff jumped 16-02.50 feet. Noah also did the triple jump and jumped 39-09.00 feet. Jimmy did it too, and jumped 33.03.00 feet. Brody Johnson competed in shot put and threw 24-11.50 feet. The boys placed 9th, scoring 18 points. 

Moving on to the girls, Audrey Praest ran the 100 and finished in 13.96 seconds, placing 6 and scoring a point for the team. Jerzie Haferland ran the 400 and finished in 1 minute 9.35 seconds. Jerzie also ran the 800-meter dash and got a time of 2 minutes 55.80 seconds. Audrey Praest also did the 100-meter hurdles. She ran it in 17.23 seconds and got first place, scoring 10 points for the team. She also did the 300-meter hurdles and had a time of 55.97 seconds. Shayla Gall ran the 800 m and got a time of 2 minutes 55 seconds. Shayla Gall did the long jump and jumped 11 feet. Audrey also did the high jump and jumped 4 feet high. The girls placed 10th and scored 11 points. Overall, the boys and girls performed very well.
