Jaguar track team travels to Aquinas

On Monday, April 6, the track team traveled to David City to compete at the Aquinas Track Invite. Overall, the boys' track team got runner-up in total team points. Andre Martin placed first in the high jump with a jump of 5 '10 and also got first place in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 16.01 seconds. He also competed in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and placed second. Noah Coufal was first in the triple jump with a jump of 39 feet and was third in the 3200-meter run. Isaac Meyer competed in the long jump, placing seventh. Isaac also ran the 110-meter high hurdles, placing 5th, and ran the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, placing third. Briggs Ernest placed 2nd in the shot put and placed 4th in the discus. Jax Nelson competed in the long jump, discus, and the 100-meter dash. Oliver Belina competed in the long jump, placing 4th, and placed 6th in the 400-meter dash. Gabe Martin ran the 800-meter run, and Luke Belina ran the 400-meter dash and 1600-meter run, placing 8th. Andrew Brester ran the 100-meter dash and 110-meter high hurdles, placing 4th. Jarrett Perrin ran the 400, Brody Johnson threw the shot put, and Jimmy Ratzlaff ran the 100-meter dash and did the long and triple jump. The boys' 4x800 team was Noah Coufal, Gabe Martin, Luke Belina, and Jarrett Perrin, who placed 4th. The boys' 4x100 team was Andrew Brester, Oliver Belina, Jarrett Perrin, and Jax Nelson, and they placed 3rd. The last relay team for the boys in the 4x400, which included Andre Martin, Noah Coufal, Gabe Martin, and Isaac Meyer, placed 4th. 

For the girls' side of the track, Isabella Wegner placed 7th in the long jump, 6th in the triple jump, and 7th in the 100-meter dash. Kylie Brichacek placed 4th in discus and 2nd in the triple jump. Maura Cada ran the 200-meter dash and placed 5th in the 100. Peyten Becker placed first in the discus with a throw of 107 feet. Jerzie Haferland ran the 400-meter dash and placed 5th, and Audery Praest ran the 100-meter high hurdles and placed 2nd. Shayla Gall competed in the long jump and ran the 400-meter dash. Brynn Throener did the long jump and the 800-meter run, placing 5th. Reagan Bayer competed in the long jump and the 100-meter dash, and Jordyn Hamata ran the 100-meter high hurdles and the 100. Avery Bayer placed 8th in the triple jump and 6th in the 100-meter high hurdles. Norah Noyd competed in the triple jump and 400-meter dash. Tenley Ernust threw the discus, placing 5th, and threw the shot put as well. The girls' 4x800 team was Jerzie Haferland, Shayla Gall, Norah Noyd, and Dani Dirkschneider, and they placed 7th. The girls' 4x100 placed 5th, and the team was Isabella Wegner, Maura Cada, Kylie Brichachek, and Audery Praest. The final relay team was the 4x400 with Norah Noyd, Brynn Throener, Jerzie Haferland, and Kylie Brichacek.
