Pender track
On Friday, April 10th, the Howells Dodge track team travelled to Pender to participate in the 5th track meet of the season. There were a total of 9 teams there. The boys pulled together and received 3rd place overall.
On the boys' side of things, Noah Coufal got first in the 2-mile race with a time of 11:17. Andre Martin got first in the 110m hurdles, Isaac Meyer got 2nd and Andrew Brester got 4th. Andre got first, Isaac got third, and Oliver Belina got fifth in the 300m hurdles.
Now on the girls' side, Isabella Wegner and Maura Cada got 5th and 6th in the 100m. Audrey Praest got 2nd in the 100m Hurdles. She also got 2nd in the 300mH as well as Avery Bayer, with 5th. The girls' 4x1 got first place and broke their own school record with a time of 52.38. Members of that team were Audrey Praest, Maura Cada, Isabella Wegner, and Kylie Brichacek. Peyten Becker got third in discus, and Kylie Brichacek got fourth. Brynn Throener got 3rd in the long jump, and Kylie Brichacek got 3rd in the triple jump with a jump of 35’ 3.25”.
Overall, it was a good day for the Jags, and they will look to improve their times as they head further into the year.
