Jags finish the Gators
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Friday, January 16, the Howells-Dodge Jaguars took on the Wisner Pilger Gators. The Jaguars fought hard in this one, winning that game 66-27.
Andre Martin led the team in scoring on the night, with 18 points, and Chase Luther followed that with 14 points, with 12 of them coming from beyond the 3-point line. A good night of scoring for the Jags with 10 Jags landing on the scoring board. The team went 7 for 17 on threes. They also boarded well, having racked up a total of 35 rebounds.
This was a good win for the Jags. Some words from head coach Janata were, “Wisner-Pilger did a nice job getting the ball inside to Raabe in the first quarter, but after some halftime adjustments, we settled in and took the inside game away, only giving up 11 points in the second half. We did a nice job spreading the ball around with 10 Jags scoring points on the night, with Andre Martin and Chase Luther leading us with 18 and 14, respectively.”
