Lady Jags basketball crushes the Mead Raiders
On January 17, the Lady Jaguars played a home game in Howells, NE, against the Mead Raiders. The ending score was 52-8 with the Jaguars girls' basketball winning yet another game for the season. Junior Kylie Brichacek was the leading scorer of this game with a total of 14 points and a 67 percent field goal percentage. With a perfect night on shooting was Audery Brabec with her 100% field goal percentage and scoring 9 points for the team. The Lady Jags got a total of 12 steals from the Raiders, with a majority of them being from McKenzie Sindelar with 3, Audrey Brabec, and Isabela Wegner both with 2 steals. The team had a total of 32 rebounds, with 19 of them being on the defensive side of the court. A majority of the defensive rebounds came from McKenzie Sindelar, Audrey Brabec, and Bella Koliha, all with 3 rebounds, and with 2 defensive rebounds were Isabela Wagner and Kenadie Throener. This is what coach Scott Polacek had to say after the game, “HD cruised through two non-conference opponents and scored an important EHC win over Wisner-Pilger Friday night.”
