FFA-FCCLA Banquet Held April 23

Because of inclement weather on April 22, the Howells-Dodge-Clarkson FFA-FCCLA Banquet was held on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Howells-Dodge Consolidated Gym.  The opening ceremony was conducted by the FFA Officers.  A potluck meal was enjoyed by over 200 members and parents. 

 The following FCCLA Awards were presented by FCCLA District 5 Officer Makenzie Polacek,President Haley Kampschnieder, Vice President – Bailey Bond, Secretary – Paige Indra and Power Of One Chairperson Casey Smith:

Freshmen:

The Outstanding member  from the freshman class from Howells-Dodge was a tie between Kelly Cech and Vanessa Hegemann.  The Outstanding member from the freshman class from Clarkson was Camille Koehn.

The Outstanding Member from the Senior class is Makenzie Polacek of Howells-Dodge and Bailey Bond of Clarkson. 

Mrs. Prusa presented each senior with a gift in recognition for the their leadership, cooperation and hard work throughout the year.   The seniors gave their parents a flower in appreciation of their support. 

 Also honored were Chapter Parents for 2012-2013:  Russ and Jayne Sayers, Dave and Brenda Hegemann, Kent and Mary Smith, Patty Reick, Jody Podany and Cheryl Langdon.  The chapter recognized Rhonda Bartling for being a sponsor at State FCCLA Leadership Conference.  FFA Awards were then presented.

During the FCCLA Officer Installation Ceremony, the 2013-2014 Officers were installed by the 2012-2013 Officers.  They are President – Amanda Evert, Vice President – Jill Rocheford, Secretary – Danny Widhelm,  Treasurer – Emily Brichacek, Publicity Chairperson – Darren Hegemann, Historian – Leah Grovijohn, Power of One Chairperson – Morgan Baumert, and Recreation Chairperson – Casey Wisnieski.

The 2013-2014 FFA Officers were installed and the FFA Senior Officer Retirement followed.  The closing was given by Haley Kampschnieder, FCCLA President.
