Follow-up Seat Belt Survey Held November 16
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter conducted a follow-up seat belt survey on Thursday, November 16 in the Howells-Dodge Parking lot from 7:35 a.m. - 8:10 a.m. Connor Blum, Dax VanLengen, Ryan Macholan and Darrin Pokorny checked for seat belt use by drivers and passengers. 93% of drivers were wearing their seat belt and 83% of passengers were using a seat belt. Students were given chewy granola bars with the message, "Choose to wear your seat belt every time you drive or ride", along with promotional pencils, car air fresheners and key chains from Teens in the Driver Seat. This project was done as part of the chapter's Families Acting For Community Traffic Safety project.
