FCCLA Christmas Party and December Meeting Were Held December 3
The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter met for their December meeting and Christmas Party on December 3 at 7:00 p.m. Following the opening ceremony, the meeting was called to order by Landon Dobbins, President. There were 37 members present. The minutes of the December meeting and treasurer’s report were read by Kara Cerveny, Secretary.
Members were thanked for their help with concessions and the seat belt survey in November. Members were reminded that applications for the Family Leader, Career Leader, and Community Leader Teams and the State Officer are due January 15, 2024. December activities were discussed including the FCCLA Babysitting Service on Saturday, December 9, the Food Drive Competition which ends December 11, and concession stands on December 12 and 16. The District FCCLA STAR Events Contest will be January 24, 2024 in Madison. The follow-up seat belt survey was discussed. The meeting was adjourned and door prizes were won by Peyten Becker, Nathan Tomcak, Reagan Koliha and Gage Stutzman. Snacks were provided by the juniors. A “secret santa” gift exchange was enjoyed by everyone. The next meeting is January 11, 2024 with snacks provided by the sophomore members.
