FCCLA Members Did Project With the 1st Graders

For their Focus on Children STAR Event, Gabe Fuentes and Gage Stutzman did a project with the first graders at HDC that focused on the importance of following directions.  The FCCLA members visited with the students about the importance of being a good listener and following directions.  They then had the students color a snowman picture that will be sent with winter greetings to elderly members of the community.  Then Gabe and Gage did an activity with the 1st graders where they built a snowman with marshmallows, pretzels and a chocolate kiss.  The students enjoyed eating their snowman for a snack at the end of the lesson.  The FCCLA members plan to continue their project with the class in the future.  Their project is called Following Directions is "Snow" Joke.
