Winners Earn Medals at Rib Run

The Howells 2016 5K Rib Run/Walk was held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10 with 52 registered for the race.  The top 3 finishers in the Men’s division were Brian Labenz of Clarkson with a time of 19.32, followed by Brian Throener of Dodge -  20.43 and Bryan Mejstrik of Howells -21.89.  In the Women’s division, the top time went to Lilly Praest of Dodge with a time of 27.16, followed by Carrie Horejsi of Schuyler – 27.37 and Karla Labenz of Clarkson – 29.47.  Age group winners were Women’s 10 and under:  1.  Peyten Becker of Dodge; Women’s 11 – 18:  1.  Lilly Praest of Dodge 2.  Ashlynn Throener of Dodge and 3.  Kelly Cech of Rogers; Women’s 19 – 30: 1.  Breanne Brester of Howells 2.  Sara Sindelar of Howells, Brook Brester of Dodge; 3.  Tara Sindelar, Jessica Prusa.  Women’s 31 – 50:  1.  Carrie Horejsi of Schuyler, 2.  Elaine Zoucha of Schuyler 3.  Tiff Becker of Dodge; Women’s 50 and over:  1.  Karla Lebenz of Clarkson, 2.  Sharon Bohaboj of Dodge,  3.  Juli Fiala,  Geri Eikmeier of Howells; Theresa Hegemann of Clarkson  Other winners were:  Men’s 10 and Under:  1.  Ethan Prusa of Clarkson, 2.  Ethan Coufal of Dodge.  Men’s 11-18:  Toby Oelkers of Dodge; Men’s 19 – 30:  Bryan Mejstrik of Howells;  Men’s 31-50:  Brian Labenz of Clarkson, Brian Throener of Dodge; 3.  Thad Huenemann of Lincoln; Men’s over 50:  1.  Warren Voorhees of Columbus, 2.  Kent Smith of Howells, 3.  Dan Busch of Howells.  The Rib Run was sponsored by the Howells-Dodge FCCLA.
