March FCCLA Meeting Held On the 4th

 

  

 

     The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter met on Monday, March 4 at 7:00 p.m. Vice President Connor Kreikemeier called the meeting to order following the Opening Ceremony.  The secretary's report and treasurer's report were read by Natalie Pieper.  

     Old business included thanking the members, who made FCCLA Week a success.  Members were congratulated for the awards the chapter received at the Peer Education Conference in Kearney.  State FCCLA Leadership Conference on April 7-9 in Lincoln was discussed and members were encouraged to prepare for their events.  The Outreach Project for the conference is to donate school supplies to benefit students.  

     During new business, members reminded that the Adopt-A-Grandparent Program will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area at Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools in Howells.  Members were reminded to invite their grandparents to the event and if they are unable to attend, members are welcome to come and help out that evening.

     Officers were elected for 2024-2025.  Elected to serve the chapter for 2024-2025 were:  District 5 Officer - Melvin Delgado, President - Annemarie Slaughter, Vice President - Carson Heard, Secretary - Cooper Kreikemeier, Treasurer - Adyson Krupka, Publicity Chairperson - Jade Bayer, Historian - Ava Noyd, Power of One Chairperson - Taylor Steffensmeier, Recreation Chairperson - Dane Meyer.  The meeting was adjourned.

Door prizes were presented by Rylan Nelson to Nathan Hegemann, Brody Throener, Natalie Pieper and DeLoise Peacock.  Snacks were provided by the sophomore members.
