Jaguars take down the Mustangs

On Friday, December 5, the Lady Jags traveled to Stanton to take on the Mustangs. The Jaguars pulled away with the win, with the score being 43-31. The Jags pulled away with the lead when they went on a 20-6 run in 7 and a half minutes. The team had a total of 43 points, with Kylie Brichacek leading with 13. Behind her were Peyten Becker and Kenadie Throener with 10 points each. The field goal percentage for the game was 44%. Kylie also led with 5 in the category. The team made 7 threes this game. Kylie led with 3, and behind her was Peyten with 2. The Jags also had a total of 9 steals this game. Peyten and McKenzie Sindelar led with 3 each. Coach Scott Polacek stated, “Stanton’s defense bothered us a lot in the first quarter. The girls offset that with their own press. We forced some big turnovers during that big run of ours.”
