Jags fall to North Bend
On Thursday, February 12, the Lady Jags went up against the North Bend Tigers for the 2nd time this year. The game didn’t go the Jags' way with North Bend winning. The first quarter was close, but North Bend had the lead with the score being 10-14. In the second quarter, the Tigers went away with the lead, having the score be 17-25. After the first half, it got closer with the score being 30-38. At the end of the game, North Bend won with the score being 38-54. Kylie Brichacek had the most points with 16. The team made two 3s for the night, with Addison Heard and Brynn Throener both having one. On the defensive side, the team had 20 defensive rebounds, with Audrey Brabec having 7, and behind her was Peyten Becker with 5. HD lost to NBC for the 2nd time in 5 days in an EHC battle. Scott Polacek stated, “We got in an 8-point hole in the 2nd quarter and did all we could get out of it, but North Bend made their free throws and some big baskets to answer every run we made. They are a solid team”.
