Jaguars defeat Wakefield
On Saturday, December 6, the Lady Jags took on the Wakefield Trojans. The Jags won with a score of 73-20. Peyten Becker set the tone from the start, racking up 6 points within the first minute of the game. H-D allowed the Trojans to score 9 points in the first half to allow a comfortable lead into the second half. H-D finished with 58% shooting on the night, also while going 81% from the free-throw line. The Jags nabbed 21 steals and 25 deflections. Coach Scott Polacek said, “It was nice to see our free throws go in tonight, considering last night’s performance from the line. We converted steals into points, which is always the goal. However, the way the girls finished on some of those possessions was impressive at times. They executed difficult moves and made athletic catches on passes we don’t normally throw.”
