FCCLA Hosts 5K Run/Walk on September 26
During the Flight of Honor weekend in Howells, the Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter sponsored a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9:00 a.m.
The top three runners for the morning by time were Cael Jones, Melissa Bayer and Erin Dostal. Medal winners were: Girls 10 and Under – 1. Brynn Throener, 2. Kinsley Jones, and 3. Addie Dobbins. In the Boys 10 and Under division, Cael Jones earned first place. In the Girls 11-18 age group, Ashlynn Throener placed first. In the Women 19 – 30 group, Erin Dostal placed first and Missy Johnson was second. In the Women 31-50 group, 1st place went to Melissa Bayer, 2nd place winner was Brenda Jones and placing 3rd was Mary Baumert. In the Women over 50 group, 1st Place went to Karen Baumert, followed by Linda Hegemann in 2nd place and Mary Smith in 3rd place. Jeff Greve earned first place in the Men over 50 group. FCCLA members who assisted with registration and helped along the run route and at the finish line were: Lexie Brester, Riley Pokorny, Janessa Schmidt, Cassie Pieper, Jill Grovijohn, Chelsea Ramirez, Brady Lund, Landon Dobbins. The 5K Run T-shirts were designed by Janessa Schmidt and Brooklyn Macholan.
