FCCLA Members Compete at District STAR Events in Madison

     Forty-three members of the Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter participated in the District 5 FCCLA STAR Events Contest on Wednesday, Jan. 24 in Madison.  The top two teams or individuals in each event category who received gold or silver medals, qualified for the State STAR Events Contest in Lincoln in April. 

     State qualifiers from Howells-Dodge were:  Chapter in Review Display Level 3 - Hannah Hinrichsen and Kylee Compton, 2nd Place;  Event Management Level 2 - Chase Luther and Brody Throener, 1st Place; Entrepreneurship - Briggs Ernest and Isaac Meyer, 1st Place, Bronze Medal; Event Management Level 3 - Melvin Delgado, Carson Heard and Hailey Knapp, 1st Place; Focus on Children - Kara Cerveny and Kiearra Harper, 2nd Place; Food Innovations Level 2 - Kelsie Coufal, 1st Place; Food Innovations Level 3 - Justenne Carstens and DeLoise Peacock, 2nd Place; Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation Level 2 - Cooper Kreikemeier, Hunter Luther and Nathan Tomcak - 1st Place; Interpersonal Communications Level 3 - Jade Bayer and Ava Noyd, 1st Place; Parliamentary Procedure Level 3 - Landon Dobbins, Reagan Koliha, Gage Stutzman, Eva Martin, Isabel Belina, Annemarie Slaughter, Noah Coufal and Autumn Slaughter, 2nd Place; Professional Presentation Level 2 - Addison Beeks and Annaleece Beason, 1st Place.  Professional Presentation Level 3 - Adyson Krupka and Taylor Steffensmeier, 3rd Place; Repurpose and Redesign Level 2 - Maura Cada, McKenzie Sindelar, and Isabella Wegner, 1st Place; Repurpose and Redesign Level 3 - Nathan Hegemann, Connor Kreikemeier and Natalie Pieper, 1st Place; Sports Nutrition Level 2 - Peyten Becker, Bella Koliha, Kenadie Throener, 3rd Place; and Sports Nutrition Level 3 - Colton Klosen, Dane Meyer and Rylan Nelson, 1st Place.
