Students Learn More About Traffic Safety

FCCLA members learned more about traffic safety at the District 5 FCCLA Leadership Conference held at CCC in Columbus on October 14.  An informative session on Distracted Driving was given by Bruce Okomoto of the Nebraska State patrol.  Also during the lunch session, the State Patrol had the Seatbelt Persuader available for students to experience. Howells-Dodge FCCLA member Micah Risch was one the the students who gave the Seatbelt Persuader a try.  These activities gave FCCLA the opportunity to partner with the State Patrol and incorporate learning related to to the National FCCLA Program Family and Community Traffic Safety.
