Howells-Dodge FCCLA met on March 9

The Howells-Dodge FCCLA Chapter met on Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m.  Following the opening ceremony, the meeting was called to order by Jill Grovijohn, President.  Members were thanked for their help with FCCLA Week activities.  The chapter members were congratulated for the awards the chapter won the were highlighted at the Virtual Peer Education Conference on February 22.

The chapter will be hosting their annual  Adopt-A-Grandparent Program on Tuesday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons Area at Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools.  The virtual state FCCLA Leadership Conference is scheduled for April 12 and 13 and chapters will be receiving more details about the conference platform in the weeks ahead.  The FFA-FCCLA Banquet is scheduled for April 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Officer elections for 2021-2022 were held with the following officers being elected:  District 5 Officer – Brooklyn Macholan; President – Brady Lund; Vice President – Landon Dobbins; Secretary – Kennady Schmidt; Treasurer – Abbey Pieper; Publicity Chairperson – Blair Fiala; Historian – Ashlynn Throener; Power of One Chairperson – Morgan Gall; and Recreation Chairperson – Lilly Praest.  The meeting was adjourned and door prizes were given by Cassie Pieper to Blair Fiala, Janessa Schmidt, and Gage Stutzman.  The freshmen provided snacks following the meeting.
