Members are honored at FFA-FCCLA Banquet

FFA and FCCLA members from Howells-Dodge were recognized at the FFA-FCCLA Banquet held on Monday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium in Howells. The welcome was provided by the Howells-Dodge FFA members. A delicious potluck meal was enjoyed before the program. FCCLA Awards were presented to each member by Janessa Schmidt, District 5 Officer;  Jill Grovijohn, President, and Riley Pokorny, Vice President. Also honored were Chapter Parents Bob and Cathy Fiala, Keith and Linette Brester and Wes and Melissa Pokorny. The chapter presented awards to FFA Adviser, Jordan Brabec and Principal Cole Fischer thanking them for their support.  The senior FCCLA members presented their parents with a red rose, also.

Honored as outstanding members from each class were: Freshmen - Landon Dobbins, Sophomores - Blair Fiala, Juniors - Brady Lund and Brooklyn Macholan, and Seniors - Janessa Schmidt.

Following the presentation of FFA Awards, the FCCLA Officer Installation Ceremony followed.  Installed as officer for 2021-2022 were:  District 5 Officer - Brooklyn Macholan, President - Brady Lund, Vice President - Landon Dobbins, Secretary - Kennady Schmidt, Treasurer - Abbey Pieper, Publicity Chairperson - Blair Fiala, Historian - Ashlynn Throener, Power of One Chairperson - Morgan Gall and Recreation Chairperson - Lilly Praest.

The 2021 - 2022 FFA Officers were named and the FFA Officer Retirement followed.

The closing was given by Jill Grovijohn.
